I believe that crnndfuodiwg is an excellent way of supporting projects of this kind, and I’m sure many creative people would be happy to contribute a modest amount. I certainly would. The important thing is to get the project sufficiently widely known and followed (Twitter would help) so that enough people contribute. Although it’s nice to have some larger sponsors, I’m a great believer in the principles of crowd funding lots of small contributions from people who can only afford a little, but who would like to be a part of the project in a small way and help bring it to the world at large. As an artist, what I would really like as a reward for contributing would be a photographic print, maybe one of the hands series, for example. But the problem with this kind of reward is that you have to take care that you aren’t spending all your funding on the cost of the rewards and postage, nor all your time on sending them out!Best of luck with this it’s a good project.
This is way more helpful than anthying else I’ve looked at.

Of course, we had all too little time in London — I could have spent days in the National Gallery and weeks in the British Museum. But, should your study schedule permit, I suggest an extended side-trip (or several) to Cornwall. It's a magical realm, with surprises around every corner. The "Nine Maidens" stone circle is well worth a visit, and there's a wonderful B&B near Land's End, and then of course you have to visit Penzance, St. Ives, and the wonderful old cathedral in Truro. The coastal town of Mousehole isn't pronounced the way you'd expect (it's more like "MAO-sle"), but adjacent to its charming harbor is a great pub that serves Cornish pasties like you wouldn't believe!Oh, you're going to have a fine time, cuz! I'm so envious.

I am turning 50 and find I am too old to get design jobs and have to work freelance. I live in Vancouver where it is very competitive, and you have to be a genius or have rewards or be young and cool to get hired by agencies. There is a huge age bias to get hired for jobs, so I have given up.There are few art director and manager jobs but at this age it’s more realistic to get hired as account manager.Aside from having to be a PHP and coding guru, I find there is less design work out there and more and more work for back end coders. Alot of design work offered is for students, interns and really really low wages. What with odesk and elance, and competing with a global workforce that doesn’t mind being paid under 5 dollars an hour, I find there is little hope for this career. I will be retiring soon! Sooner than I thought, but for what they are paying designers out here and the fact that it’s so hard to get hired, I work on my own, but find that is a constant hustle for work. I can make just as much money being hired as an admin assistant. Graphic design, wish I never went into it and got a real career, however it put food on my table for over 20 years.
